OS 2200 Console View provides three commands to save the properties associated with a view:
Save—Saves the properties of the open view, and any changes you have made to these properties, to the current view name.
Save As—Saves the properties of the open view, and any changes you have made to these properties, to a view using a new name. You can also use this command to replace an existing view. When performing a save as, you can select the server you wish to save the view to.
Save Defaults—Saves the properties of the open view as site-defined defaults. To save the properties of a site-defined default view, see Saving a Site-Defined Default View.
Click Save on the File menu or the icon on the toolbar. These options are available only if this is a new view or an existing view to which you have changed view properties. The view is saved to the same Operations Sentinel server from where the view was opened.
After you perform a save, the icon is disabled (grayed-out) to inform you that your save was successful. The icon remains disabled until you make a new change to the open view.
To save the open view to a new name
Click Save As on the File menu.
The Save As dialog box appears.
In the Save As dialog box, select the server you want to save the view to. (If only one server is available, this is your only option.)
Once you select the server, the List of available views box shows a list of all current views on this server.
Either enter a new name for the view in the Save As field or select the name of an existing view from the List of available views box. If you select the name of an existing view, OS 2200 Console View overwrites that view definition.
Click Save
Note: If you do not explicitly specify a view name, OS 2200 Console View uses partition-name.console-name where partition-name is the name of the OS 2200 host partition and console-name is the name of an OS 2200 console for that partition. For example, RT86.CONS01.
If a view with that name already exists, you are asked if you want to replace the view or change the name.
