Unsolicited keyins are commands that submit information to or make inquiries of the OS 2200 partition. They are called unsolicited keyins because the system does not prompt you to enter information or respond to a message. Unsolicited keyins can
Inform the system of changes in the external environment.
Request information about the internal system activity.
Modify the internal system activity.
To enter an unsolicited keyin
Place the cursor on the command line, type the keyin, and press Enter. Or, select a keyin from the history list.
Notes:
The maximum length of a keyin, including all parameters, is 69 characters.
See the Exec Operations Reference Manual for detailed descriptions of each keyin, including restrictions that apply to that keyin.
