The current view identifies a specific console and the Operations Server that hosts this console. You can only execute the macros that are available for this console’s partition on the Operations Server. See Macro and Macro Generator Security Considerations for more information.
To execute a macro
Open a view to a console if one is not already open.
Click Macros on the Tools menu. A menu of macros for this console’s partition on the Operations Server appears.
Click the name of the macro you want to execute.
The Macro Editor opens and displays the macro's commands in the workspace.
To execute the macro, click the Execute button on the toolbar, press F5, or click Execute on the Tools menu.
Notes:
If the console associated with the view is hosted on an Operations Server that is running a version of Operations Sentinel prior to 8.x, step 3 does not open the Macro Editor. Instead, it displays a prompt to execute the macro.
The commands executed are those currently in the Macro Editor workspace.
You can only save a macro you edited if you are a member of the SPO Administrators group.
