About the Macro Editor

Use the Macro Editor to view, edit, and execute OS 2200 macros. You can only access macros stored on the Operations Server that hosts the console.

You can only open the Macro Editor from OS 2200 Console View when a view is open. You must be a member of the SPO Administrators or SPO Users group on the Operations Server to use the Macro Editor. SPO Administrators have full access (create, read, edit, and execute). SPO Users only have read and execute access.

Notes:

  • If you close OS 2200 Console View while the Macro Editor is open, the Macro Editor also closes.

  • Each instance of OS 2200 Console View can only open one instance of the Macro Editor.

  • OS 2200 Console View continues to receive and display messages while the Macro Editor is open.

  • The font face and size of the Macro Editor match those of OS 2200 Console View command line. Changing the font face or size of the command line changes the font face or size in the Macro Editor.

  • If OS 2200 Console View loses its connection to the console, the Macro Editor closes. If you have made changes to the open macro, you are prompted to save the macro.
