Automation Control Dialog Box

The Automation Control dialog box contains two tabs:

CP-AMS

Fields

Active Database

Is the name of the currently active autoaction database (it is blank if there is none). OS 2200 Console View updates this field when an Activate or Deactivate command is completed.

Act/Deact Time

Is the date and time the most recent autoaction database was either activated or deactivated.

By

Identifies the workstation, autoaction database, or console initialization process that last changed the state of the current autoaction database.

Request

Is either blank, Activate, or Deactivate. The field is blank until you click either the Activate or Deactivate button. The Request field then indicates which action OS 2200 Console View is completing, either activating or deactivating an autoaction database.

Request Status

Indicates the status of the action OS 2200 Console View is completing, either In Progress or Complete.

Requested Database

Is the name of the autoaction database that you are activating or deactivating.

Activate

Displays the Activate Autoaction Database dialog box so you can select an autoaction database to activate.

Deactivate

Requests deactivation of the active autoaction database (the database listed in the Active Database field).

Operation Mode

Fields

Operating Mode

Is the current operating mode of the OS 2200 partition, either Attended, Casual, Unattended, or Unknown (if the OS 2200 partition has not completed the boot process).

Options Present

Lists the options that are used with the specified operating mode.

Select Operating Mode

Changes the operating mode to attended, casual, or unattended. Specify the operating mode and the options that apply to that mode. Click Change to generate and send the OS 2200 OM keyin that switches operating modes.

AAMS

Enables or disables the ClearPath Plus OS 2200 Autoaction Message System (CP-AMS). This option is available only in attended mode.

DBUG

Turns on or off CP-AMS Test mode. When you specify this option, database actions are not executed. Instead each action is displayed in the traffic pane and written to the partition log.

TRME

If selected, terminates a nonprivileged user’s run with error type termination when it issues a message requiring a response and that message is not matched by a pattern in the active autoaction database. This option is available only in unattended mode.

UALM

If selected, issues an alarm when a user run terminates abnormally and the run's termination message is not matched by a pattern in the active autoaction database. This option is not available in attended mode.

Change

Switches the operating mode of the console to the mode specified in the Select Operating Mode field by sending the appropriate OS 2200 OM keyin. The keyin is displayed in the traffic window.
