You can create a new managed object by either
Using the wizard.
Copying an existing managed object and updating its properties.
To add a new managed object using the wizard
In Administration mode, expand the Managed Objects node to display the available object classes.
In the navigation pane, select OS2200 JProcessor class.
Click New Object on the File menu.
A wizard appears and leads you through the process of configuring the properties of the managed object.
When the wizard is complete, enter or modify properties in the details pane that did not appear in the wizard. See OS2200 JProcessor Properties for detailed information on configuring the properties of the managed object.
If applicable, modify any of the security settings for this object. See Specifying Permissions for an Object for more information.
Save the managed object so that it becomes available to all users and Operations Sentinel can begin monitoring it.
Notes:
The Tag property must be manually set to “SpecialtyEngine”. The wizard does not automatically set the value of the Tag property.
Make sure that the “hosts” file on both Operations Servers are updated to include the “name” and Specialty Partition Admin
Console IP address for each JProcessor and QProcessor associated with the Dorado system.
The default address of the JProcessor Admin Console is 172.28.106.x1 where ‘x’ is the logical JProcessor number 1-16.
The default address of the QProcessor Admin Console is 172.28.102.x1 where ‘x’ is the logical QProcessor number 1-16.
The Name, Network Name, External Network Name, and Host ID (configured in the JProcessor or QProcessor) must all be the same to be able to monitor and manage the JProcessor or QProcessor.
Internet Explorer Trusted sites on both Operations Servers must be updated to include the JProcessor and QProcessor Admin Console IP addresses. The following is the format:
https://<name>
where <name> is the Name, Network Name, External Network Name, Host ID (all must be the same value) of the JProcessor or QProcessor; it is also recommended that this name is used for the s-Par Environment name of the JProcessor or QProcessor.
To copy an existing managed object
To create a new managed object, you can also copy and modify the properties of an existing managed object. Using an existing managed object to create a new one could save you time by eliminating the need to reenter similar data twice.
