Tools Menu

The Tools menu contains the following commands:

Filter

Sifts through today's log file for specific information. See Filtering Log Messages.

Toggle Text Filters

Toggles between the AND/OR logical operations on the Text Filters specified in the Filter dialog, while performing the Filter operation on the Log File. The AND logical operation will sift through the log file and will display only those lines which contains all the strings specified through Text Filters. The OR logical operation will sift through the log file and will display all those lines which contain any one of the strings specified through Text Filters. See Filtering Log Messages.

Clear All Filters

Removes any filter specifications from the log file; the entire log file is displayed. The next time you open the Filter dialog box, no filter specifications are set.

Line Count

Determines the number of lines currently being viewed. If filtering is off, the line count is the number of lines in the original log file. If filtering is on, the line count is the number of lines shown in the filtered log file.

Consolidated Logs

Opens the Consolidate Log Wizard. This wizard enables you to view multiple log files from one consolidated log file. For example, you could create one consolidated log file that contains the logs from a partition, a Service Processor, and the Operations Sentinel server.

SendLog to the Enterprise Output Manager (EOM) Server

Transfers the currently open log file to the EOM server. Log files of the selected systems or log objects are transferred to the EOM server through the Directory Monitoring attribute setting at the EOM server-side. See Setting up Log Policy.
