Finding an Existing Log File

When opening a log file or using the Consolidate Log Wizard, you are able to browse to find the desired log. If you are having trouble finding a log file that you know exists, check the log file extension. By default, Operations Sentinel Log Viewer looks for files with a .slg extension.  

To look for an existing log

  1. Open Operations Sentinel Log Viewer.

  2. Click Browse from the Select a Log dialog box to find and select a log file from a different location.

  3. Switch the default to All Files (*.*) in the Files of type box to view the log file.  

  4. Navigate to the folder where the older log file resides.

  5. Select the desired log file and click Open.
