Protocol adapters form a gateway between your application and external clients.
Protocol adapters appear as Windows services in the Services Control panel. They exist outside the application and can be started and stopped independently of the Runtime system.
They can be installed on the same machine as the application or on a different machine.
The following protocol adapters are available:
RATL, HUB, NOF/GLI/OFF, and USER are legacy protocols, which are used to communicate with existing Enterprise Application Environment applications, as well as Agile Business Suite applications.
