The :AST commands display and control the current setting of the Auto Stop attribute. The :AST setting is stored in your database. When your application is initiated, stored settings are reapplied. Security level is Controller.
The :AST command has the form:
:AST
:AST Displays the current setting of the Auto Stop attribute.
:AST+ Sets Auto Stop attribute. This is the default setting. The application automatically goes to End of Job (EOJ) when all of the following apply:
No client terminals using the application.
No Reports active.
GLI, OFFLINE, and USER programs not active.
No messages to other applications outstanding.
MIN copies set to zero for all COMSTP programs (either through the Subsystem dialog box or by using COMS Utility).
If the value of MIN copies is greater than zero, the application restarts immediately after closing down.
:AST– cancels the Auto Stop attribute. The application requires explicit manual termination.
Refer to :TIN Terminal Input Commands for more information on idle applications.
