Note: You must build your presentation project before you can perform the procedure in this topic. To build the presentation project, right-click the solution node, in Solution Explorer, and then click Build Solution. Refer to Building Your ePortal Solution for more information.
Once a Web Forms Application or Web Forms Mobile Application is built, there is an .aspx file for each client message of the ePortal data source project. Refer to Creating Web Forms Application Projects and Creating Web Forms Mobile Application Projects for more information.
To control the look and feel of each .aspx file, do the following:
In the ePortal Message View window, right-click a client message and click Open Presentation(s)….
Check the applicable .aspx page files from the Open Presentation Files dialog and click OK.
Make sure that Design mode is selected. To change to design mode, click the Design button in the lower-left corner of the pane. Some of the possible tasks are:
Move items around the page.
Add, delete, and modify text.
Change fonts of text.
Add graphic backgrounds.
Change the properties for items on the page, using the Property window.
Add new controls to the page by dragging them from the Toolbox window.
The ePortal Developer unique controls are available through the Toolbox. They provide additional functionality for changing the look and feel of a Web Forms application project.
