Status Bar

The status bar is the panel at the bottom of the window. It summarizes information related to the OS 2200 logical console. An icon represents each item of information except the name of the active autoaction database.

ToolTips

ToolTips provide a text version of each icon and its current state. To see the tip, rest the mouse cursor over the desired icon.

Fields in Status Bar

The status bar displays the following information (from left to right):

Number of Buffered Console Messages

Is the number of messages waiting for display. The pane that contains the cursor indicates the message type. For example, if you suspend message delivery to the read-and-reply pane, this field is the number of read-and-reply messages waiting for display.

Console Connection Reports the state of the connection between OS 2200 Console View and the logical console.

Host Reports the status of the OS 2200 partition.

Logging Connection Reports the status of the logging service on the Operations Sentinel server.

Alert Connection Reports the status of the alert service on the Operations Sentinel server.

Operating Mode Indicates the operating mode of the OS 2200 partition. See Changing Operating Mode and Options for more information.

Connection Status Indicates the status of the connection.

Active Autoaction Database Is either the name of the active ClearPath Plus OS 2200 Autoaction Message System (CP-AMS) database or NONE ACTIVE. See Activating an Autoaction Database for CP-AMS for more information.

Notes:

  • When OS 2200 Console View loses its connection to the logical console, the remaining states on the status bar continue to reflect the last known values. Input to the console is disabled until the connection is reestablished.

  • All values are unknown until you connect to a logical console.
