From DE Agent for SQL Server to Runtime Service

Secure connection between DE Agent for SQL Server to Runtime Service is achieved by using Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) and SSL.

To enable secure connection,

  1. Install a security certificate on the machine where you have installed DEMS.

  2. Create a security profile in DEMS. See Managing Security Profile.

  3. Create or modify your environment to use the security profile. See Managing Environments.

  4. Associate the user/group with the environment.

  5. On the machine where you have installed the Runtime Service,

    • install the same certificate you used in the security profile in the Current User or Local Machine certificate store.

    • install the certificate chain of the Certificate Authority in the Trusted Root Certification Authorities.
