Default view your site has defined | path\vcv.exe /Ssystem /Ppartition /Cconsole You must specify all three parameters. An instance of OS 2200 Console View opens a connection to the specified console using the site-defined default properties set on the Properties tab panel. See About the View Properties for more information. |
Customized console view | path\vcv.exe /Vview-name An instance of OS 2200 Console View opens with the connection and view properties specified by view-name. See About Customizing Console Views for more information. Because the Operations Sentinel server is not specified, Console View uses the first Operations Sentinel server it recognizes to find the view. If the customized view is not found on this Operations Server, then the site-defined default view properties on the Operations Server are used. If site-defined default view properties are not configured on the Operations Sentinel server, the default view properties installed with OS 2200 Console View on the workstation are used. |
Customized view with verification | path\vcv.exe /Ssystem /Ppartition /Cconsole /Vview-nameSpecifying /S, /P, /C, and /V is almost the same as specifying just the /V option, except the console for the view must match the console specified using the /S, /P, and /C options. If the /V option refers to a view that conflicts with the /S, /P, and /C options, an error message is displayed and OS 2200 Console View terminates. |
You can use the following command line option (in association with one of the above options) to specify where to find the console view definition:
/Dspo-server
You can use the following command line option (alone or in association with one of the above options) to open a read-only console connection:
/R
A read-only console connection cannot send any commands to the OS 2200 partition or take any action that changes the console environment. See Read-Only Restrictions for more information.
