General Tab Panel

Use this tab panel to customize the OS 2200 Console View window. This tab panel includes the following options

Show

Indicate which components (toolbar, command line, or status bar) you want to appear in the OS 2200 Console View window.

Toolbar Hides or displays the toolbar. By default, the toolbar is displayed. You can also hide or display the toolbar using Toolbar on the View menu.
Command LineHides or displays the command line.

If you have full console privileges, by default OS 2200 Console View displays the command line. You can also hide or display it using Command Line on the View menu.

If you have read-only privileges, OS 2200 Console View does not display the command line and the option to select it is unavailable.
Status Bar Hides or displays the status bar. By default, the status bar is displayed. You can also hide or display the status bar using Status Bar on the View menu.

Macro Editor Behavior

Select how you want the Macro Editor dialog box to behave.

Dialog Dialog windows are modal. They remain open until you click an action button such as OK or Cancel. The window automatically closes with the intended action. For example, when you click the toolbar Execute button, the macro is executed and the Macro Editor automatically closes.
Stand Alone Stand alone windows exhibit independent behavior. You must explicitly exit the Macro Editor to close the Macro Editor dialog box. For example, when you click the Execute button in the toolbar, the selected macro is executed but the Macro Editor main window remains open until you close it.

Command Line Font

The Font, Size, and Font Style fields list the current font, font size, and font style (bold, italic, or bold and italic) that OS 2200 Console View uses for any text you enter on the command line. Click the Change button to select a different font, size, or font style. OS 2200 Console View does not resize the command line if you select a font size larger than the command line can display. Fonts up to 16 point fit within the command line.

Pane Keep-Focus Limits

Specifies the number of messages or the length of time you want OS 2200 Console View to buffer messages while a pane has focus. A pane has focus when you click in that pane.

Messages Is the maximum number of messages saved when you have suspended the currently active pane. Message display automatically resumes after this limit expires. The number of messages buffered is displayed on the status bar. The default is 50 messages.
Seconds Is the maximum number of seconds waited when you have suspended the currently active pane. Message display automatically resumes after this limit expires. The default is 180 seconds.
