Enabling Multicast Address Handling for IPv4 Addresses Only

The MLDNoAutoAddrUpd (No Automatic Address List Update) option of the TCPIP OPTION command causes TCPIP to enable only multicast address handling for IPv4 addresses specified in the Multicast Address list of the connection for that interface. The protocol for IPv6 multicast addresses is not operational and prevents applications from being able to join any IPv6 multicast group. The default for this option is OFF.

To enable this option, enter the following:

NW TCPIP OPT + MLDNoAutoAddrUpd
