You can specify or inquire on the IP address of the network interface which is used, by default, for the sending and receiving of IP multicast frames.
To specify the IP address of the local network device used for multicasting, enter the following command:
NW TCPIP MDA <ip address>
This command assigns the device associated with the IP address to be the default interface to be used for IP multicasting.
To inquire on the IP address of the local network device used for multicasting, enter the following command:
NW TCPIP MDA
This command returns the local IP address associated with the network device assigned for IP multicasting.
