SYSTEM/PDIR, SYSTEM/PMIX, and SYSTEM/PUNIT are programs that search files, mix entries, and hardware units, respectively, for specified characteristics.
Each utility uses switch 1 (SW1) to control behavior, and SW1 through SW5 to return information to the caller.
When SW1 is set, the utilities suppress the display of error messages. The utility returns the following information by setting SW1 through SW5:
SW1 |
Indicates that the input string contained a syntax error. |
SW2 |
Indicates that no entities were found. |
SW3 |
Indicates that too many entities were found. The output is still produced. |
SW4 |
Indicates that an internal error occurred in the call on the Aseries_Info MCP procedure and a program dump has been produced. |
SW5 |
Indicates that more than 254 characters of attribute values were generated for a TASKSTRING request, and the output has been truncated. |
