The LIST option causes each entry created or modified by MAKEUSER to be listed in external form. The listing is prepared by decoding the entry (as in the case of COPY PRINTER) and is equivalent to, but not necessarily identical to, the input. The listing is directed to the printer file for noninteractive sessions and to the terminal for interactive sessions.
