RCWTOSEQ (Convert RCW Into Sequence Number)

RCWTOSEQ converts a display form or diagnostic RCW (SDI:PWI:PSI) into a sequence number using the LINEINFO from a codefile. The command requires the physical codefile associated with a segment dictionary stack to determine the sequence number. The segment dictionary stack number is entered using either MCP, or a <NUMBER> indicating a stack, or ASD number from which the segment dictionary will be derived. If the number is a process stack, the code stack will be determined from its PIB CODELINKS word. If the number is a segment dictionary stack, it is used directly. If the number is a code segment ASD, its ASD Mom Reference is used to derive the segment dictionary stack and SDI. Finally, if MCP is specified instead of a number, the analyzed MCP codefile will be used. You can use the WHO command to analyze MCP code pointers.

Once the physical codefile is located, the creation timestamp is compared against the codefile header value from the dump. If the physical codefile does not match the version in use at the time of the dump, or the codefile cannot be located, the user will be prompted to acknowledge use of the codefile or to specify a new codefile to use. Once a codefile is accepted, the acceptance is remembered as if a CODEFILE command was previously used. This process is used to warn the user that the codefile being used might not match the one running at the time of the dump, and the results might be incorrect. Note that the CODEFILE command can be used prior to using the RCWTOSEQ command to avoid prompting the user for acceptance of the file to use.
