PRINTER (Printer Route)

The PRINTER command routes output to the line printer instead of to the terminal or a disk file. The standard DUMPANALYZER header page is printed as a preamble. Each command that causes the information to be dumped is also printed.

Syntax

── PRINTER ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┤

Explanation

Printer output from DUMPANALYZER includes both uppercase and lowercase characters. If you direct DUMPANALYZER output to a printer that does not support lowercase characters, you must first use a transform function (such as the UPPERCASE standard transform function) to translate lowercase characters to uppercase characters. For details about print transforms, refer to the Print System (PrintS/ReprintS) Administration, Operations, and Programming Guide.
