IOCB (I/O Control Block)

The IOCB command prints the I/O control block (IOCB) specified by the simple address or ASD number. If the specified area is not an IOCB, then DUMPANALYZER displays an error message.

Explanation

The following text describes the meaning of each construct. Refer to “Basic Constructs” earlier in this section for information about the <simple address> and the VIA <ASD number> constructs.

IOCB <simple address> IOCB AT <simple address>

Used to analyze both IOCBs. The word located at the simple address is a descriptor that refers to an IOCB.

IOCB VIA <ASD number>

Analyzes and prints the IOCB located at the ASD number.
