<$.WIDECARD option>

The $.WIDECARD option tells the PATCH utility to expect input in WIDESYMBOL format. The semantics are the same as those described for the $.WIDE option, except that the CARD file is interpreted as being in the WIDESYMBOL format for all records following the $.WIDECARD record.
