SIZE Function

The SIZE function reads either labeled or unlabelled tapes, calculates the appropriate amount of data on the tapes, and reports the results.

SIZE can be used to help determine the total amount of data in use on a number of tapes as a guide to determining the quantity of higher-density media that are required as the target of a stacking operation.

Examples

The following are examples of commands using the SIZE function:

  • U TSU SIZE UNITNO=91

  • U TSU OUTFILE=PRINTER SIZE 001-004
