LIBMAINTDIR

The LIBMAINTDIR = <file title> modifier switches the source of information to the tape directory disk file with the specified file title. FILEDATA then reports on file names and certain other file attributes of the files copied to the tape for which the specified LIBMAINTDIR file is a directory.

The standard form of LIBMAINTDIR file names is one of the following:

*LIBMAINTDIR/<tapename>/<yyyymmdd>/<tape serial>
(<usercode>) LIBMAINTDIR/<tapename>/<yyyymmdd>/<tape serial>

In the file names above, yyyymmdd represents the creation date of a tape with a four-digit year, a two-digit month, and a two-digit day. Library maintenance stores these files on the disk family specified by the DL LIBMAINTDIR system command. If you do not specify ON <family> in the <file title>, then FILEDATA searches for the named directory on the current DL LIBMAINTDIR family. Refer to the File Attributes Programming Reference Manual for a description of the LIBMAINTDIR file attribute.
