If you have a previous USERDATAFILE that you want to install as the current, active USERDATAFILE, use the RECALL statement as described in the following procedure.
Note: | To continue running MAKEUSER after you complete the following steps, you must know the usercode and password of a privileged usercode in the new USERDATAFILE. If security-administrator status is enabled, you must know the usercode and password of a usercode with security-administrator status. Alternatively, you must know the usercode and password of a usercode with the USERDATA privilege. |
-
Copy the previous file, giving it a name other than SYSTEM/USERDATAFILE, to the pack specified as the disk location of the active USERDATAFILE. If you are not sure of the disk location of the current USERDATAFILE, use the DL (Disk Location) system command to determine the locations of system files.
-
Run MAKEUSER.
-
Enter RECALL <previous USERDATAFILE name>.
This command makes the designated file the current SYSTEM/USERDATAFILE and saves the file that was the active USERDATAFILE under the name *USERDATAFILE/<mmddhhmm>.
For more information about the RECALL control statement, refer to RECALL.
