Installing a New Version of SSHCLIENT Software

Before installing a new version of SSHCLIENT software, ensure that there are no old versions running. To do so, enter the following command from either MARC or an ODT session:

A NAME-SSHCLIENT=

If SSHCLIENT software is running, an administrator can use the following command to terminate the SSHCLIENT software:

RUN *SYSTEM/SSHCLIENT/ADMIN ("DISABLE NOW")

As a precaution, the administrator should enter “A NAME=SSHCLIENT=” again, and discontinue any tasks that appear. No tasks should be present, unless there was a version mismatch.

To install a new version of the SSHCLIENT software and re-SL the SSHCLIENTSUPPORT library, use Simple Install.

If all previous SSH sessions are completed, the administrator can remove the SSHCLIENT request files by entering the following command:

REMOVE *SYSTEM/SSHCLIENT/REQUEST, *SYSTEM/SSHCLIENT/REQUEST/=

To start the SSHCLIENTSUPPORT library, by entering:

RUN *SYSTEM/SSHCLIENT/ADMIN ("ENABLE")

A new version of SSHCLIENT software is now installed, and the SSHCLIENTSUPPORT library is SL-ed.
